Kellie Hart – Director

Ms.Kellie has lived on the Central Coast for 20 years and she enjoys all aspects of life especially dance and pearl choker necklace designs.She believes that dance gives each individual a confidence comparable to no other sport. Her goal is to provide all dancers with the ability to succeed in everything they do.She encourages  each dancer  in their own personal strengths. She is a founder and director of “Central Coast Dance Alliance” the non-profit group of our studio.She has been teaching for more than 18 years here on the Central coast and has worked with many children throughout our county. She has taught for Children’s Creative Project, Central Coast Dance,Several Elementary schools in our area as well as Parks and Rec. and now is the Owner/Director of “Motions Academy of Dance.”

Nicole Acebo – Co-Director/Competition  Director

Nicole has been dancing for 20 years, and is currently the Co-Director at Motions Academy of Dance in Atascadero CA. In addition to the many classes she teaches at Motions, Nicole is the head coach for Coast Union High School’s dance team in Cambria, CA.
She is the head choreographer for our studio and is one of motions greatest assets.

Amanda has been dancing since she could walk, she is currently teaching tap, hip hop and contemporary. she is one of our competition choreographers as well as producing ALL the music needs at our studio. Music is her life and sharing her artistic ideas adds a great deal of character to what we do. her unique style of choreography gives each dancer an opportunity to express themselves within their strengths.
Her dances have done extremely well at competition.

Kathrene Herndon – Ballet Director

Kathrene has been dancing for 20 years and teaching for 15. She graduated from Cal Poly in 2007 with a degree in journalism. Ms. Kathrene has studied dance under choreographers including: Kristy-Ann Anthon, Al gilbert, Greg Russel, Tommy and Becca Retter, Daryl Retter, and Janice Barringer.  Ms. Kathrene has recently rejoined the teaching staff after having her first child.

Kellie Adams – Assistant Director

“Miss Cricket” has been dancing since she was a toddler. In 2000, she took dance classes at Allan Hancock College. Cricket has competed at both Showstoppers and Dupree dance competitions while maintaining a successful career in Advertising. Kellie continues to inspire us with her “Improve” skills and determination to help us all reach our full potential. She is one of the competition director’s!


Eddie “Chikolisto” Rodriguez- Break Dancing B-Boy Teacher


Being one of the most talented dancers and performers he brings that character to his classes. The dancers love and respect him and what he brings to the floor. He is always up for trying something new and loves to share his art with all who wish to try .

Shannon Rice- Shannon has been a Dancer for 15 years, She is currently the Captain of the Senior Competition Team as well as a  teacher and Choreographer here at “MOTIONS.”
She excels in the art of Ballet/ Contemporary and is trained in all Genres.
Shannon brings a fresh new concept to us.

Kirsten Allen- Kirsten has been with us for 5 years and excels in Tap, Jazz and Ballet. She loves teaching all ages of students. she is currently the Co-Captain of the Senior Team and helps with choreography.
Kirsten brings excellence to the floor every time
Tess Bohey- Assistant Ballet Director-
Tess has been dancing for 13 years and teaching us all for most of that time. She excels in Excellence in all areas of Dance. Her passion and compassion shine thru in everything she does.
She teaches a very strong Ballet and technique class as well as a conditioning class ,so that dancers have the proper knowledge in how to prepare their bodies for the demands of a dancer.

Desire’ Brush – Teacher/Choreographer

Desire’ has been dancing for 15 years, and has been a teacher for 6 years. She is trained in many forms of dance, but she inspires us greatly in HIP HOP! She teaches for many community programs and continues to share the culture of Hip Hop everywhere she goes
